Dai Mouyu was born in 1975 and graduated from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 1999. He currently lives and works in Shanghai, with a major focus on works on paper. He was earlier known for his photographic artworks and joined in many exhibitions and important art fairs. Represented by his contemporary ink painting works and unique needle pen works, Chinese traditional culture is the main source of inspiration and spiritual nourishment for Dai Mouyu's artistic creation. Dai Mouyu's works are widely exhibited in galleries and art institutions at home and abroad.
